The Financial Blog Network: Member Roundup


This week I joined The Financial Blog Network. This network consists of various blogs that all deal with your personal finance – from credit cards to stock market investing.Here is a roundup of the other members along with a short description of their blogs:

  • PennyJobs.com (RSS) – This blog has all sorts of information on how to create alternate streams of income. There are several main topics covered: politics, economics, budgeting and saving money, new markets, and starting a business.
  • Saving to Invest (RSS) – If you want to learn smart personal finance and effective money management in today’s economy, this is a great blog to subscribe to. You can find some great information on ways to use the stimulus to your advantage, general finance tips, real estate and mortgage ideas, and small business tactics.
  • Amateur Asset Allocator (RSS) – The first thing that you notice about this blog is its clean, good looking design. After the design, you can find great articles focused on helping readers achieve financial freedom. Among the specific topics of discussion are the economy, investing, personal finance, frugality, and career/jobs.
  • Money Hacks (RSS) – Money Hacks is run by a guy named Bill who has been hacking money since 1966. His main aim is to post ways he finds to earn, invest, and save money. Check out his site and find some very practical, interesting resources.
  • Rich Credit Debt Loan (RSS) – Here you are going to find all sorts of ways to create, leverage, and multiply your cash flows. All the posts are current, relevant ideas that apply to the individual.
  • Passive Family Income (RSS) – As the title might have suggested, this blog is all about creating passive income. More specifically, this blog is somewhat of a diary of a “thirty something, father of 2, husband, and sole income earner for our family.” The articles are informative and professionally written. Stop by and start earning!
  • Millionaire Acts (RSS) – This site prides themselves as being your guide to entrepreneurship, personal finance, investing, and motivation in the journey to financial freedom. The articles are in-depth and very useful for anyone interested in increasing their financial savvy.
  • Buy Like Buffett (RSS) – To use the words of the author, this is a “financial blog that discusses investing, budgeting, debt reduction, money management and wealth building strategies.” If you are a Warren Buffett fan, this site has a lot to offer you. Not only does it contain the top holdings for Bershire Hathaway, but also some of the main criteria used by Buffett to pick his stocks.
  • The Almost Millionaire (RSS) – Sticking with the rest of the personal finance blogs, The Almost Millionaire is one person’s journey to master money and become financially free. Also, “I’m trying to find in my life and in the life of others that I have relationships with, ideas and truths that may help along to way. I also want to explore the mental and spiritual side of personal financial decisions.”
  • Money Dashboard (RSS) – “The idea behind the Money Dashboard blog is to help everyone get a better understand of their own finances, offer money saving tips and to suggest tools to help build wealth for the future.”
  • The UpSide of Money (RSS) – The author of this blog is Barbara Bryn Klare, Award-winning finance writer and SF Examiner.com Personal Finance columnist, certified Credit Counselor and owner of CafeFAQ Communications. The site tackles the dry subject of finance and informs and explains the topic through humor and common sense.
  • Steadfast Finances (RSS) – The author’s goal is to “educate those who want to know learn how to grow their money beyond a basic money market account or traditional index fund can provide, while throwing in a few personal finance tips along the way.” The blog offers very interesting, detailed discussion on topics that aren’t beat to death by the traditional finance community.
  • Consumer Finance Tips (RSS) – If you are looking for basic information on personal finance, this is the blog for you. While most finance blogs try and go in-depth, the articles you will find here are for newcomers to the topic. Very useful and easy to read.
