Volume Spread Analysis: Highlight and Resources

TradeGuiderAs the summer moves on, I have been researching a very interesting method of investing: volume spread analysis (VSA). The bottom line on this technique is that the investor uses just a price and volume chart to determine when the professionals are buying and selling so that the individual can invest in the same direction.

For starters, you can check out the TradeGuider website where VSA was created by former syndicate trader Tom Williams. They have a “free stuff” section where you can get access to archived events, fact-sheet downloads, chart archives, and an excerpt from Tom Williams’ book “Master the Markets.”

I get the newsletter from TradeGuider and have found it to be well worth it because I will get 1 or 2 emails a week and around 1 in 4 will have a link to a video of a recent live trading event.

Another great resource is TradeGuider’s YouTube channel where you can get short clips on the trading method.

I will be continuing my research and try to get a series of articles written on the subject to help explain the more complicated aspects of the method.

For an added treat to my readers, I have a pdf version of Tom Williams’ early books “The Undeclared Secrets that Drive the Stock Market” available to download. Alternatively, you can find this throughout the internet by just googling the title.
